Ginsburg-Pitaevski-Gross differential equation with the Rosen-Morse and modified Woods-Saxon potentials
In this paper, we consider non-linear Ginsburg-Pitaevski-Gross equation with the Rosen-Morse and modifiedWoods-Saxon potentials which is corresponding to the quantum vortices and has important applications in turbulence theory. We use the Runge- Kutta-Fehlberg approximation method to solve the resulting non-linear equation.
متن کاملLiquid-liquid phase transitions for soft-core attractive potentials.
Using event-driven molecular dynamics simulations, we study a three-dimensional one-component system of spherical particles interacting via a discontinuous potential combining a repulsive square soft core and an attractive square well. In the case of a narrow attractive well, it has been shown that this potential has two metastable gas-liquid critical points. Here we systematically investigate ...
متن کاملComparison of Hard-Core and Soft-Core Potentials for Modelling Flocking in Free Space
An investigation into the properties of a two dimensional (2D+1) system of self propelled particles (known as boids) in free space is conducted using a Lagrangian Individual-Based Model. A potential, associated with each boid is specified and a Lagrangian is subsequently derived in order to obtain the equations of motion for each particle in the flock. The Morse potential and the Lennard-Jones ...
متن کاملDimension Reduction of the Schrödinger Equation with Coulomb and Anisotropic Confining Potentials
We consider dimension reduction for the three dimensional (3D) Schödinger equation with the Coulomb interaction and an anisotropic confining potential to lower dimensional models in the limit of infinitely strong confinement in two or one space dimensions and obtain formally the surface adiabatic model (SAM) or surface density model (SDM) in two dimensions (2D) and the line adiabatic model (LAM...
